The Garden Plan
It's always good to have a rough plan of what you want, need and must do in the garden. Did I mention gardening is a lot of work? Well here I have a few things, that need doing, before the proper gardening even starts. We had snow again today, so the garden is too wet to even think of tackling any of this, this weekend. 😞
MUST DO:
- I must cut my fruit trees as soon as the weather is fine enough to do so. I didn't get around to it last year and have made more work for myself, for not doing so. The monster yew and hawthorn hedges also need a radical cut back, as they are blocking out the sun.
- Burn the brush that is collected on a huge pile from last year to make space for the raspberries and black currants I've ordered for that side of the vegetable garden.
NEED TO:
- Move the compost heap and chicken hut/tool shed to where the brush pile now is, so I can re-align the vegetable plots.
- Dig berry plots
- Build a raspberry trellis.
WANT TO:
- Hook lower shed up to a rain collector.
- Get pool up and running
