River the Branch Manager

I got River in April 2014 from a breeder in the Black Forrest as a puppy. He loves helping me in the garden, chewing up sticks for the compost and inspecting my freshly dug and raked beds, much to my annoyance. He is a shetland sheepdog and loves to herd anything, people, chickens, sheep, the cat to her annoyance and of course my friends sheep. He also needs to know where I am at all times and follows me everywhere. Secretly herding me too, I think.
Very much the guard dog as well, he will alert to strangers and knows the whos who of who is welcome and who is not, which he alone decides.
